ASSIGNMENT #6: Digital Image Manipulation

EACH ONE OF THESE ASKS YOU TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.  CHOOSE 2-4 DIFFERENT PROJECTS!

1.1.  Disproportionate - change the scale of one image (object, people, insect) on a background image

2.2.  Untruthful – Add something to the background that wasn’t there (you at the Eiffel Tower)

3.3.  Who’s in School – place a famous person or cartoon character in school

4.4.  Where am I? – place a photo of you or a friend (with permission) on an unexpected background

ASSIGNMENT #5: Dance Poster & Digital Images

There is a dance scheduled for this Friday ....

*    December 10th
*    1:00-2:37
*    $2.00 admission
*    Pizza $1.50
*    Soda $.50

The theme is  MARDI GRAS!

1.   FIRST, use Paint.net to put your photo on another image.  SAVE AS .JPG
2.   Using XP Publisher, create a flyer/poster to advertise the important information about the dance. 
3.   Insert -->  Picture -->  From File
4.   Done?  SPELL CHECK!
5.   Get permission before printing.

GETTING THIS TO YOUR BLOG:

*    Scribd will not accept an XP Publisher document!

1.   Print preview -->  PrintScreen -->  Paste in Word -->  Crop -->  Expand -->  Save
2.   Upload at Scribd and get embed code to paste in blog post.

ASSIGNMENT #4: Excel Word Search

Create a Word Search Puzzle and Answer Key in Excel.  Directions are on the table!

Be sure to upload the document at Scribd and paste the embed code in a blog post.

ASSIGNMENT #3: Wordle

1.  Use the PRINT SCREEN (or PrtSc) key to take a picture of your Wordle on the Internet.

2.  Paste the in-cyberspace image into a Word document.

3.  Crop, resize, save.

4.  Upload at Scribd.

5.  Paste embed code into blog post.

6.  Add a title.

7.  Publish Post.

ASSIGNMENT #2: Custom Google Map

There are written directions for creating your own Google Map.  Also in the instructions is a list of possibilities ... but you can always invent your own!  You're all so creative!


This map will be embedded on your blog.

ASSIGNMENT #1: Your Avatar and Introduction

Post your Meez avatar and write an introduction to your 7th grade blog. What is the blog for? What do you hope to learn? What do you like about computers and/or computer class? ETC.
